CC List - Carbon Copy List, what is that?

When creating a transaction, you can choose to add someone's email address to the CC List for that particular transaction, and they will receive a copy of the signed documents after the transaction has been completed

How the CC List works:

  • The system sends an email, once a transaction has been completed, to any / all email address on the CC List
  • The email they receive has the completed, signed document(s) as a PDF attachment
  • The attached PDF document(s) is not password protected nor secure in any way
  • We recommend not using the CC List function if the documents your company handles contains personal, or private information
  • This feature is best used for documents that are being signed and sent internally with your own company, for example: signed documents that need to be sent directly to your company's Human Resources department

This CC List function cannot, at this time, be turned off as it comes standard on all MyDox accounts.

To add someone to the CC List of a particular transaction, you can use the CC List button that appears on the Add Signers step of the transaction creation process.

The button will open a small window where you can add yourself, or anyone, by typing in their email address, separating each one with a semicolon ; or with a comma , between each email.

Click the "Save" button to ensure these emails are saved to the CC List of the transaction you are creating.

You can also add signers from the transaction by using the CC checkbox beside their name and email address as shown on the Signers screen.

  • Unchecking the CC checkbox DOES NOT remove the signer's email address from the CC List
  • The only way to remove someone from the CC List is to open the list with the CC List button and delete their email address, then click Save again
  • If you add an email address to the CC List of a Template, it will remain there for any transactions sent out using that template

Please contact your company's Account Manager at SIGNiX in order to request more information and training on the CC List function and the best use of it for your needs.
