How do I create and use a transaction template with SIGNiX?

Creating a template with SIGNiX as a Submitter is fast and easy. You will begin as though you are creating a regular Transaction, then you will stop before Sending, and Save As a template instead. 

Templates can be created when you have the same documents that will frequently be sent out, and templates can also be created when you have the same signers who will frequently be signing documents.

How to Create a Template: 

  • Log into your Document Center using your personalized login link.
  • Click on “Transaction Templates” on the left side of the screen. This is where your templates will be saved.
  • Click on “Create New Transaction” to begin making a transaction that you will save as a template.
  • Add Signers like you would for any other transaction.

If you do not know who the signers will be yet for this template, then you can add in Placeholder Signer information which can be Edited in the future. There is a button on the signer information box for this to auto-fill.

If you do know who the signers are, be sure to fill in their name, email, and choose an appropriate authentication method for each one.
  • Add Documents that you want to have signed with this template.
  • Place any fields you want on the documents for your signers, such as signatures, initials, text boxes, etc.
  • Do Not Send the transaction, instead click on the “Save As” button at the top right of the page.
  • Give your template a name, and click “New Template” to save it as a reusable template that you can create transactions from in the future.

Your new template should now show up in your “Transaction Templates” menu.

How to Use a Template:

  • Find the template you wish to use and click on its title to open it up.
  • On the "Signers" screen, if you have used Placeholder signers, do not delete them. Instead, click on the gear icon beside one and edit the name and email to be your client's information. Click on the "Update" button.
  • Once you have all the signers prepared with the correct information, double check that everything else is correct. Check that you have the desired Documents uploaded, and that all of the signatures are in the right places.

Do not use the "Save" button at this time, or else you may override the original template that you are building a new transaction from.

  • When you are ready, go to the "Send" screen and click on the "Send" button at the bottom right. It will then prompt you to give the New Transaction a title. You have now successfully used your template to create a new transaction.
