You have been asked to enter the last four numbers of your SSN, and your birth date.
In order to login and sign your documents, you may have to answer some security questions in order to help verify your identity. The person who sent you these documents has asked that we verify your identity using a method known as knowledge-based authentication (KBA). This is a very secure way to establish identity, and in order to get started you will need to confirm this information. After you click Next, we will present you with a series of questions to establish your identity.
We require this information to prove the identity of the signers.
All of the data you provide is stored and transmitted in an encrypted format. Once your identity has been verified, your personal information is stored in a secure environment in full compliance with the ESIGN Act.
The questions are provided by a third party database, so we cannot control the content or type of questions that you will be asked.
If you fail your questions, you can try again, however there is a limited number of attempts each day. If you fail too many times, you will be locked out for 24 hours. This is not something we can bypass. The person / company who sent you the documents can consider changing the type of authentication used, and you might be able to use another method of identity verification.
If you get an error that says “Name and SSN could not be verified” There are a couple of reasons this could be happening. Here are some common reasons for this issue:- A spelling error in the name
- The name doesn’t match legal documents
- A nickname was entered instead of a legal name
- A person got married or divorced but didn’t switch their name on existing accounts (car registration, credit loans, mortgages, credit cards, etc.)
- The name entered included the person’s middle name
- The name or social security number in the client database is incorrect
