Is an audit log generated for each transaction?


Yes, a comprehensive audit log called a TotalAudit™ is created as the document moves through the signing process, with each action carefully tracked.

TotalAudit™ keeps track of all of the following events:

  • Transaction creation
  • Changed party information
  • Cancellations and opt outs
  • Document downloads after signing
  • Transaction completion
  • Party agreement to/acknowledgment of document
  • Signature creation (by each signer)
  • Documents viewed by each signer
  • User authentication
  • Signers consent to use e-signatures
  • Emails and notifications sent to any signer

Our TotalAudit™ audit trail document is secured against tampering with a digital signature.  Digital signatures use advanced cryptography to make the audit trail tamper evident. 

We track and store the audit log for every document signed in our system. This information can also be downloaded as a PDF alongside the signed document.
