If you are a signer and you click on the link to sign your documents, but you see the following error message, here is the explanation.
"Pick Up Token cannot be more than 22 Characters"
The error message that you are seeing is related to the link in your email, which is unfortunately being changed by your email service provider. Some providers view links inside email messages to be potential spam, so they add extra characters to the end of the link as a way of trying to prevent users from clicking on them and going to a possibly dangerous website.
We cannot control how email service providers change our messages once they have been delivered. Our advise would be to try the following:
- Copy just the correct portion of the link from their email, and Paste the link into their browser to use that way
- Add us to their email's approved list, white list, contact list, etc. in order to help their email provider view us as safe and not spam
Typically, the extra characters at the end of an email link are easy to spot because they are commonly special characters such as: # $ % & ? /
The error message itself is stating that the link should only have 22 characters at the very end of it, which is a unique combination of letters and numbers for a particular signer on a particular transaction. This should help you to Copy just the correct portion of the link and Paste it into your browser.
