Signing on Mobile Devices - Smartphones and Tablets

The SIGNiX system is compatible with most mobile devices, so long as they are kept up to date and some settings are adjusted as needed. You can check our System Requirements page for details.

There are some inherent limitations when it comes to mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. For the best signing experience, we always recommend using a computer or laptop. When that is not possible, a mobile device may be used instead. It is best that your signer be very familiar with their device and able to navigate between apps, such as their Email, an Internet Browser, and perhaps others such as Zoom or the Camera.

Documents may appear small due to the size of the device's screen, but signers should be able to Zoom in and out as they would normally on their device in order to better read and sign documents.

Some signers may need to adjust their Browser Cookie settings in order to sign documents. We have an article about that here, as each browser will have different steps to take: Session Cookies

For signers with a Notary, they may need to download and use the Zoom app. Here is a link to the Zoom Support site for more information. Depending on the type of device, signers may need to change other settings on their phone in order to use Zoom effectively, such as allowing for screen sharing during the meeting. However, another limitation of some mobile devices is that (unlike a computer or laptop) they cannot share both the camera and the screen at the same time, only one or the other. Please check with your state laws to ensure your video recording is done properly. We suggest that you seek more details about this from Zoom directly to get the most accurate information.
