What is SIGNiX's retention policy for stored documents?
The federal ESIGN Act requires retention and availability for the life of the agreement, so we keep documents until our customers have stored a copy on their own servers and have requested digital shredding of the documents.
Due to document retention policies and other factors, all documents created in our system are archived at least 90 days after creation (though this can vary depending on the client account settings).
For this reason, everyone is encouraged to save their documents after completion in a timely manner to avoid issues.
If you need access to documents that have been archived, there would likely be a fee associated with unarchiving them.
